The Afro-Uruguayan Culture House is a private nonprofit institution that promotes knowledge, appreciation and dissemination of the contribution of Afro-Uruguayan descendants and their historical heritage, as well as the creation and recreation of their  diverse artistic, cultural and social events. It contributes to the affirmation of individual and collective identity in the community,  encourages their unity and cooperation, general democratic values, racial equality and better relations between all people based on human rights, diversity, eradication of racism, and solidarity.
